Tibetan refugee centre

In 1959, when the Dalai Lama escaped with followers over the Himalayas, they established a refugee centre here

There are 300 refugees at risk here currently. They now call it a self-help centre. The men sew garments, do leatherwork and carpentry. The women, and some men, make finished textiles.
